Happy Mother's Day!

Bruce and I had dinner at Vaquero's (our usual hang out). Shared a pitcher of margaritas. I wanted to go check out our new Meijer store and pick out a car seat to have in my car for Boden. Of course when I get home I find that it is too big for him and have to return it. Dang!

Working this fine mother's day. Hopefully someone will have dinner ready when I get home. This 8 days in a row is making me weary. But I have been able to get some crafting done at work lately. I will try to post pics soon. I look forward to my week off. I plan to get some yard work done, scrapbooking, jewelry making, and so much more done in that time.

Another Day at work

Here I am spending another beautiful day at work. Well, it is a bit windy and it is supposed to rain or storm later. Do love a good thunder storm! Missing Jake's double header this morning. Per convo with my husband he pitched a bit too. I hate when I miss good action like that! I brought some crafting to work today. I am slowly working on altering a book. Been applying gesso to all of the pages to start, then plan on adding ephemera as I go. This evening after work I plan to go tan at the spanking new Suds' n Sun at 61/71. Then I asked my hubby out on a date. We could really use it!

Let's try this again.....

I have neglected my blog. I aimed to use it as a journal to inspire art and creativity. I guess nursing school put quite the damper on free time to blog. Now that I am awaiting word about my re-entry to the program, I am going to attempt to update more often.

I have a new grandbaby to talk about too. We celebrated his FIRST birthday on May 2. He is now walking all over the house. He really just started doing so in the past couple days.

I am working my 7 day stretch since that is how Kevin and I decided to work the schedule for the summer. We will work 7 on and 7 off. We see how that goes!

I am going to try to figure out how to link up some blogs that I follow on a regular basis in case anyone else is interested. This may just take me a while.

I opened an ETSY shop today. No stuff to put in it yet but I am hoping that now that I have a name (The Velvet Poodle) and a shop, that I will get on the ball and make some goodies for it. It will be a rather eclectic shop with various items made by me. I might even get into some vintage stuff too. I have so many ideas and so little time to create it seems.
