Name change

I changed the name of my blog today to better reflect my true state these days. I love what I am doing but at times it can be overwhelming and tiresome. I mean look, it is 12:22 am and I am on the computer. I just finished my medical diagnosis sheets for clinical this friday and I was surfing a bit before I went to bed. And Slash in on David Letterman! good night!

Things have been a bit interesting lately. Stressful may be a better word. Last week Tay had severe abdominal pain (at 6am might i add) and I thought it best to go to the ER to get checked out since she is pregnant and all. The doctor told her she might be miscarrying and of course she was quite upset. They did an ultrasound and the baby was very active and the heart rate was very good. So it seems she has a slight bleed near the placenta which i guess is not uncommon and after several days of bedrest she seems to be doing well. I had to work Saturday and on Sunday I did a couple of seniors shoots. I knew both girls quite well and I think they will be happy with the pics. I am having a hard time finding the time to get them tweeked a bit so I can get them their discs. I guess i take on too much at times eh? Well, I have clinical at 7a so i really should be in bed already. Nightnight. Oh yeah!....I got a high B on my last exam. Go me!

Wow this past weekend was non stop! Friday night our football team kicked ass again. Another mom and I were hosting a party for some 8th graders (at her house of course) and it went very well. All attendees were well behaved, well except for the hostesses, who had the cops called on them because the music was too loud! We were out in the country for goodness sakes! Geesh! Sunday I had to work....again. After work Tayler and I met up with a couple of my girlfriends from high school and had dinner at Vaquero's. YUM! Several marqaritas +1 later I went home and went to bed. I was beat from the busy weekend I guess! This morning I had to get up and go to class. No work today so that is good! I even cooked dinner! Wednesday Tayler goes to her new doctor, so we will see what is going on with the Gbaby! later J

Wow! It has been a while! I said on my last post that I had some big news. Well, the news is out. B and I are going to be grandparents. Tayler is pregnant and due in mid May. Well the ultrasound say May 13 but we all know how that goes. Anyhow, she was not happy with the first dr we went to (doesn't deliver locally) so she has appt in 2 weeks with another physician. Hopefully all goes well. Things were a little rough for her at first with nausea and all but I think she has been feeling much better lately. However, she not like going to school anymore. Probably due to gossip and what not so it looks as if she will be finishing her senior year on line. The good news is that the Cosmetology board says she can remain in the program. So she will attend her cos lab in the afternoon.

Yesterday was my friends 40th bday and Jill, Tayler and I went over since she was having a little get together to celebrate. I wasn't going to stay long but someone just had to start the tequila shots! I am a sucker for tequila in any form. I had to work the next day so I only had a couple (no i was not driving) and left much later than I had planned. I was not tired today nor was I hung over in the least bit. Mine 40th is in January so perhaps we will do it again then!

I have been busy trying to figure out my new life/school schedule. It seems pretty hectic at times, but nothing I can't handle. I have some pretty big (well life altering) news that I will elaborate more on come Friday. Waiting for more information.

Looking forward to the last weekend of September, as I will be cropping (for the very first time) at Scrapbook Art for their ScrapPink event. I am bummed that I have to work Friday night but I will there on Saturday and Sunday! I look forward to getting alot done. I do have a new topic to scrap (perhaps something to do with the life altering news)! I am looking forward to that!

This is fair week in the big town! Kids have been, husband has been, but I haven't and I am not even sure I will get there! They were nice enough to bring me a pepperoni stick though, which is all I really go for. I would like to take some pics though. Just maybe.

class starts tomorrow!

That's my boy carryin that football! He has become a fullback due to injuries and I think he really stepped up to the plate (or the goal?) today! I was proud of the way he played today. I think he was proud of himself as well. They beat Ridgedale 30-6! Sweet!

The rest of my day was spent renting a carpet cleaner at Sears and taking Latte to the vet because he has been scratching like crazy lately. I was just hoping it wasn't fleas! The doc thinks he has an allergy and put him on prednisone. However he did find a flea and recommended a dose of Frontline as we had been using another brand all summer.

I rented the carpet cleaner to clean my couch. The dogs really make it smell bad after awhile. It looks and smells mucho better now!

I have been catching up on those who went to CE in Arizona the past few days and several attendees don't sound all that impressed and say they would not attend next year. I still think that if the opportunity presented itself, I would give it a try. Perhaps I will treat myself to an adventure such as this when I graduate nursing school. In the meantime, I will continue to hang out at Cord and take mini retreats at Stratton House.

This weekend went way to fast! Friday nights game was away so I went cropping with the gang at Cord. I actually got something done. Tay went too! Had us some mexican food for dinner...it was a real bonding eve.

Saturday is Tay's 18th birthday and she wants to get a tattoo. She has had one picked out for a while now. It is a series of stars on her shoulder. It really is a cute tat! I thought for sure she would pass out or something but she didn't! It was a pretty simple tat so it only took like 20 minutes or so. Later she went out with friends (I guess).

Today I had to work all day. I was freezing all day probably due to the rain we had today and last night. I started thinking that chicken and dumplings sounded good however, I have never made them myself. We didn't have dinner until 8pm but it was pretty good. I wanted to watch the VMA's on MTV and I even got a layout done while watching! Sweet. Gotta work a 12 tomorrow and classes start Thursday! Goodnight!

Today I only worked until 1pm, so after work I picked up my mother and we ran to Marion so I could go to the bookstore to pick up the rest of my books (14 total). I dropped her off at Office Depot to look at computers and went to get my books. I purchased 5 books and the nursing packet and the total was $342!!! I still have 2 more books to get plus shoes, stethoscope and miscellaneous items. And I start next week! I can't believe I have made it this far! My mom bought herself a new Hp computer and she got a free printer with it which she initially denied but I encouraged her to go ahead and get it so I will have one for my laptop. I have been wanting one that can travel with me when I go on retreats. Jake has a game tomorrow and I hope to try out my new lens. Goodnight!

I have had to work the past couple days. Bums me out 'cause I miss out on the last official lounging weekend of summer. Yesterday we did manage to have a little fire in the pit though. My mom bought several XL pizzas and I stopped to pick up some marshmallows to roast on the fire. The neighbors came over and we BS'd for a while. I had to turn in early though since I had to work today. Jake even had to get up and be at football practice by 8 so he had to get in early too. When I got home today Bruce had the steaks on and all I had to do was prep the portabellas and pour me a margarita. Yum! tomorrow I work till 1pm then head up to the school's bookstore to purchase the rest of my Anyone want a cat? My DD has a kitten that we can't keep because I am allergic (which she knew before she got the cat) and it has to leave very soon!

I got up early to get my tires aligned at Goodyear. I had to wait for an hour while they got it done. Then I figured I should go visit my mother-in-law since I had some free time. I probably should do that more often than I do.

Of course, since I was in the vicinity of Cord Camera I needed to stop in to see what was new. They had the cutest new little photo albums that have such great altering potential! Can't wait to see what I come up with. I got a pink one and a green one.

While I was there Ann suggested that we go get some lunch. We had the infamous alfredo chicken pizza at Shorty's and it was delish as usual.

Then I stopped into the newly renovated Home Haven and got the shelf you see in the pic. I had a big blank white wall after the rearranging that I did the other day so this shelf was calling my name today at the store. I picked up the pears too! The rest was stuff I had around the house. The clothes hanging on the shelf were actually mine when I was a baby. So they are really old!

So I did the car thing this morning. Didn't get started as early as I wanted but I did it. I went to Super Walmart which I hate because I just spend more $$$ while I wait. (I know...that is their plan! Anyhoo, I picked up a couple of Halloween decorations as Jake and I plan on going all out this year with the decor. Last year I had to work so this year I am doing it up super scary!



I started on our bedroom today. I hate to put clothes away! I don't mind actually doing the laundry and folding it but I HATE to put it away! So that is done!



I plan on going up to the scrap studio later and doing some scrapping or organizing which is all I really seem to get done anymore.



Tomorrow I go back to work (all day) but I am off on Friday again. I have a 9am appointment to get my car aligned

Wow! I am posting two nights in a row!!! I had the entire day off! I just love it when that happens. The good thing was that I woke up in a cleaning mood. I rearranged the dining room and cleaned like a fool.

I even made dinner! Geesh! I just never seem to cook a real dinner anymore. It seems we are always on the run and eating on the fly. So tonight I made meatloaf. I, of course ate my nutrisystem diet. I am not complaining...it is pretty good food.

tay and I took my new lens to football practice to see just what kind of shots I can get from a distance. While I am standing there the Varsity football coach comes over and asks me what I am taking pictures of. I told him I have a son out there practicing and he says that is fine and go ahead. He said he wanted to make sure that I wasn't from NU (the team we play this Friday eve)! Like he actually thought I was like spying on the team and taking pics of their plays! WOW!

Tomorrow my husband wants me to go get new tires and my oil changed. I am still on the mood to clean so I guess i will get up and get that done so I can start on our room. My scrap room is a mess now too. Ever since Tay moved back in and I had to get the rest of my stuff up there in a hurry, the place is a mess again!

I went to Cord today to pick up some animal print paper so I can scrap The Wilds! This was the first time that I have been in to shop and had to paid FULL PRICE! Ouch! But I did get some deals. This week they have all Xyron 50% off. So I picked up an Z refill and the 500 refill as well.

I forgot to mention that Jake, my mother and I went to the WILDS on Friday! I like to take a "just before school starts ROAD TRIP" This place is really pretty cool and just think you can see these animals up close and not even leave the state of OHIO! We took the open air safari tour. I wanted to pretend I was on a "real" safari and shot pics of all of the animals. There were buffalo (or bison), rhinos, giraffes, zebras, various species of deer, camels, and many more. If you have the chance you should check it out!

Nothing much going on here today. I am looking forward to the next two days because I have them off and without any children to boot! School has begun! I do start to miss having days to myself. When the kids are home I feel like we should be on the run all of the time and I tend to neglect my home duties. Or maybe I am just {avoiding} them?

I am working on this Nutrisystem diet and it is going .......ok. I have lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks which is good, but not as good as I was hoping. The food is delish so far though!

Tayler is staying at home right now. She brought her cat home too! I am allergic so I am trying to avoid that thing at all costs! She is staying in the old scrapbook room since I took over her room when she left and turned it into my new and improved scrap studio. I love having a large space to organize. I painted it pink/white with black accents. That Scrapbook Boutique in Houston, TX was the inspiration. I just love what they have done with that place. If I am ever in the Houston area, I am so there!
